sharing raw, vegan recipes and advice
We're spending an hour or two fixing up the site each day and are coming quite a long way with functionality (which is our focus before moving to the visual fixes).
You'll now see a small link on the bottom right of each page that says feedback. If you experience a bug or would like to see an addition on the current page, feel free to leave us a message there - this way we'll be sure to see it! Thanks to each of you who have already used this feature (look, recent forum posts are back in the sidebar). We are listening and are excited to be putting together a Gone Raw that will be better than ever!
Also, we are putting the finishing touches on the new add recipe feature before putting it live on the site. Hopefully, you'll find this much easier to do than before. If any of you have a recipe you've been wanting to post and are in an adventurous mood, we'd love to hear your feedback. Here is the link to add a recipe:

I think the option to add an image should be displayed by default, since most people add images to their pictures. Also, instead of a Save button how about a Publish button. I think Publish makes more sense contextually. Also, some buttons to Bold, Italicize, and Link text would be helpful like how gi2mr has for their discussions. Otherwise, it worked well. Thanks!
I am not sure how to sign off anymore. I went to sign on this time and noticed I am still signed on from last time. Also, I am not sure how to search for certain words in the recipes other than to use the tags. Thanks so much for your help!
Try clearing your browser history or resetting it - that usually logs you out of all the websites you're logged into.

How do i search recipes?
Awesome! I was able to put a recipe up! I love the new format. The image thing was a little confusing but I clicked it and there was the upload bit. Thanks for all your hard work. Hugs
I forgot to mention that it let me edit my recipe after posting with no problem! Cool!

i know the site isn't finished yet....if either one of you have a minute (hehe) could you let us know:
1)if the advanced search option is only available when you are logged in?
....update, advanced search now works when not logged in, however the link posted for adding recipes is not working
2)if the old links within recipes and forums will work again?
3)if there is a 'view recent posts' by page set-up for the forums?...where we can see all the recent posts in chronological order page by page?

evergreen: I've made advanced search available regardless of logging in. The old links within recipes and forums will, sadly, not work again for some time, but they might eventually. I need to get the nice big pictures back first!
The view recent posts type stuff will come in time. We're digging through the Feedback we've already gotten and there's a lot. Rest assured we're working on that Big List. I hope to get some more done this weekend.

how do you edit a recipe?
hi yuna...i would love to know the answer to that question as well..at this time i don't have the ability to edit my published recipes...B4 if i was logged in, the edit recipe button would just sort of appear on the recipe page:)
Click your recipe and at the top there are two tabs; one says View and the other says Edit, they are right above the recipe title with a green bar.
hi RawKidChef....thank you so much for letting me know that...i don't have that feature at this time , but at least now i know what to look for:)... i hope they can fix that for me at some point:)
I like the photos, regardless of the quality. Even in "cook" books the photos are always a draw. I did like the old search list off to the side. It is quick and easy. thanks
hmm, evergreen, it seems that I can edit certain recipes but not others. Your welcome :)
I wish the photos could be a little larger. I know you want to save space, but if they were twice as big, it would be much nicer.

I so appreciate all the work you're putting into the site, and fully recognize how time consuming it is. I know you're looking for feedback...I guess I find the current sight not as user friendly as the old one. That may be because I'm still navigating my way around, but visually I also find it less interesting and inviting. Is this a mock up, or is this more or less going to be the finished look? I also hope that you can alphabetize the recipe tags to make it easier find a category. Sorry if this seems like a complaint. It's just that Goneraw has been 1 of my favorite sites for over a year and I want to keep coming back. Thanks so much. Monica

First off, let me say thank you for this site. I don't know anything about creating html and all that stuff. (Nor do I particularly want to know.) So, thank you very much for your time and work to make a gathering place for recipes and information.
This is what I experienced, I did an advanced search, with food processor and easy highlighted and recipes ticked. It said "You must include at least one positive keyword with 3 characters or more." Thing is, I don't know what keywords to include. I'm just looking for easy recipes to catch my newbie eye. I found easier to limit searching with the previous site last month. I also find that there are too many choices in the dropdown menu. Nobody likes change, eh? :)
Lastly, I couldn't find the Feedback link that's supposed to be on the bottom of the page to report my feedback. Hence I'm here on the front page. Using IE 7.0 on Vista, if that has anything to do with it.

MDC, try "easy" as the positive key word in your search. I can see the Feedback link in IE and in Firefox. It's down in the bottom right corner, small and not in a box or anything. Looks like this . . . [+]Feedback . . . printed about the size and shade of gray as the print in the "Comment" box when you are keying in a comment.
